Diary of an author
Diary of an author 3
It is October - the leaves on the trees outside are turning colorful, the air smells like rain most of the time (my favorite weather), and Preptober begins. This year, Preptober is something very special for me because I am starting two big projects:
The plot for the second volume of my time loop trilogy is set, and I've already made good progress with the writing. There, I will also invest the most writing time during NaNoWriMo (in November).
This point is probably the most important for me, because I am making my debut in the world. The first volume of my time loop trilogy is currently on its way to editing, while I take care of all the designs.
It has become such a heartfelt project for me that I am now very happy to publish it through self-publishing, even though I initially ruled that out for this book.
I wasn't as familiar with the author business back then as I am today and therefore wanted to take "the safe route" - that is, to go to the publisher. That it wasn't right for me has only now become clear to me, and it simply took time for me to develop further so that I can now bring this book into the world in its best form. I am very much looking forward to the process of designing and revising the text until it comes out and I can finally share it with you.
What are your plans for NaNoWriMo this year? Are you participating, or have you even started a project that you want to finish writing?
Until the next post, I wish you, as always, a wonderful time.
